I waited until after the lockup date passed, hoping that there would be a significant price drop down to $175 or less, but the stock only dropped into the upper $180s and now has rebounded with $10.00 worth of gains. I really believe in the company and think that it truly could be a rule breaker over the long term. Does anyone on this board who follows this stock closely think that there is much chance of the price dropping significantly over the next few days or weeks? Or should I go ahead and take the plunge and open a small position at the current price?

Google is only one earnings shortfall (compared to industry *expectations* as opposed to its own predictions) from a serious erosion of price. Witness what happened to eBay last month.

I'd love to see it happen. I want a good buying opportunity.

Exactly, and that is where eBay is at right now, a buying opportunity. If I had a supply of cash, that's what I'd be buying right now. Google, I want to see a dip before I buy. The psychology of go fever needs to break before I'm willing to buy in.

I would advice you to sell, or even go short in Google! The good times are over. Read /discuss more about this on [edit: link removed by admin], the real experts are there. Technical analyses, fundamental analyses, daytraders, swingtraders, etc.
