At what age do you plan to toss in the towel and retire?

How do you plan to retire; what type of investments will you rely on, and how will you generate the income to fund your retirement?

What plans do you have during retirement?

The concept of retirement doesn't impress me too much. To pick an arbitrary date and say I'm never working again makes no sense for me.

What I plan on doing is what I've already done: I've "retired" from doing work I don't like anymore. Making money is a lot easier if you like what you do.

That's an awesome perspective. It's almost like you've entered Nirvana, using Buddhist terminology.

My concept of retirement is the same but with the addition of not worrying about money ever again.

...It also involves the addition of traveling the world and enjoying an immeasurable amount of carnal pleasure.

Liking what you do makes work a lot less of a chore. I have worked since I was 15, and I haven't set a date for retirement either.
I want to have my health and an active lifestyle when that point in time comes.

Have a business that continues paying for the lifestyle you want to live and look at retirement savings/income as a bonus every month. The key is to find the business that doesn't take much time or can be delegated fairly easy. I own an insurance agency. The beauty of it is the long sought after residual income. At 29 I am working alot harder than I will be at 39 because of my renewal base. And it only gets better with time. The insurance business, although not very glamorous or fun, is the best small business opportunity in the world. You can build it in 3-5 years, walk away from it and do other things, but it will be the one thing that makes you millions of dollars until you are old and grey.

But to answer the question, I just want to play golf 4-5 days a week during the nice winter months in AZ and spend summer at a nice beach house or on a big boat somewhere.
